Diamond merchant's son dead in road accident

Surat, Feb 20 (UNI) A 24-year youth, son of a diamond merchant, was killed when a truck hit his bike on a flyover on the busy Ring Road near Sahara Dharwaja in the city today.

According to Mahidharpura police the deceased, Rushin Shah (24) son of Ashwin Shah, a diamond merchant in the city, was going to his office in Varachcha. When his bike reached near Sahara Dharwaja on the Ring Road a truck hit the vehicle and Rushin died on the spot after suffering serious injuries.

The relatives of Rushin immediately reached the spot and his body was taken to the Corporation owned SMIMER Hospital for post-mortem.

Mahidharpura police said the driver of the truck had escaped from the scene after leaving behind his truck.

Police has registered a case, sources added.

One stabbed to death and two injured in a quarrel

Anand, Feb 21 (UNI) Police today arrested two persons for allegedly killing one person and injuring two others, following a quarrel in Anand town. A quarrel had erupted between Bharatbhai Prajapati, a snack stall owner and two of his customers last night, after they refused to pay for the snacks they had eaten, police said. Good governance structure needed for Mumbai's development: Ubale
