Srinagar, Feb 20: Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) pesonnel were killed in a militant attack at Sangam on the Srinagar- Jammu national highway this afternoon, official sources said.
They said militants fired upon a Road Opening Party (ROP) of 155 Batallion of CRPF at main market of Sangam, about 42 km from here, on the highway in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
The security personnel were critically wounded in the attack. The injured were rushed to hospital where they were declared brought dead.
The area was immediately cordoned off and traffic on the highway was stopped. Further details are awaited.
