AIE inducts sixth boeing

Mumbai, Feb 20 (UNI) Air India Express has inducted its sixth owned Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which will operate only economy class seats on the Gulf and Singapore routes.

This acquisition increases the AI Express' fleet size to 13 aircraft, seven of which are on lease.

The first three aircraft were inducted in December 2006 and January 2007, the fourth on January 21, and the fifth on January 27, a statement issued here today said.

Air India Express commenced operations on April 29, 2005 and operates 57 weekly flights from nine Indian cities viz Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Amritsar, Mangalore and Chennai.

Seven foreign stations on the network are Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Muscat, Salalah and Singapore.

HAL official caught redhanded while accepting bribe

Bangalore, Mar 16 (UNI) An Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) officer was today caught redhanded by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths while accepting a bribe for showing official favour.
