Let service to Bharat Mata be service to God

Indians have always been very spiritual. We look for God and his messengers all around us. And the people who utilise this sentiment of Indians to the maximum are the spiritual leader and the self proclaimed Gods.

Spiritual leaders have the ability to convince and to some extent control the minds of the people or their followers. They usually have followers for whom their word is a command. If properly used, this command over the masses can really help these spiritual leaders to bring about a change in the people's mindset, thereby bringing about a positive change in the society. Only then can one regard them as true leaders.

But it is equally important for people to learn and distinguish between true leaders and opportunists.

For Indians, their motherland holds a place no second to God. Indians, despite their religious differences love and respect their motherland and are ready to sacrifice anything at Bharat Mata's feet.

But what we see in the above pictures are truely shocking and shameful. The woman in the picture, Mataji Nirmala Devi, a self proclaimed God, deserves no respect for disrespecting the national flag. Sitting next to her is her husband, who is an IAS officer and Chief of SCI, and surely does not qualify for the post he holds.

As Indians, let us all come together and make sure that our motherland and national symbols don't pay the price for our spirituality.
