Kharar, Feb 5 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh today called upon the economists of the country to study y the factors that led to price rise whenever Congress came to power.
The BJP president, while addressing an election rally here in favour of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) candidate Jasjit Singh said, ''Economists must study why prices rise during Congress rule and not when NDA government was in power for six years.'' Taking a dig at Congress rule in the state and at the Centre, Mr Singh said Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh despite being a Captain failed to run the state and despite being a doctor, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh failed to treat the problems of the country.
He appealed to the people of Punjab to change the government with the changing season as previous government had done nothing for the people.
He promised that Akali Dal after forming the govenment in Punjab would provide 24-hour power supply to farmers, the industrialists who left the state due to wrong policies of the Congress government would be brought back where unemployed youth would be given jobs.
