Imphal, Jan 31 (UNI) In all seven candidates have filed their nomination papers for the February 23 third phase Manipur Assembly election to 12 seats in Tamenglong, Churachandpur and Chandel Districts.
Phungzathank Tonsing, former Congress president and Minister, Tribal Development of the Congress, was among those, who had so far filed their candidature.
He filed from Churachandpur Assembly constituency.
About 77 candidates had already filed their papers for the February 8 first phase election to 19 seats of Ukhrul, Thoubal and Senapati districts, and 163 candidates had filed their papers for the February 14 second phase election to 29 seats in Imphal East, Imphal West and Bishenpur districts.
