Jalandhar, Jan 31: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi will visit Punjab separately to campaign for ruling Congress contestants for the February 13 assembly elections.
While the Prime Minister will undertake a two-day election tour in the state on February 5 and 6, Ms Gandhi will campaign for the party nominees on February 8 and 10, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh told reporters here.
As per a tentative programme, Dr Singh is scheduled to tour Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalanhdar and Patiala during his two-day visit, Capt Singh said.
The Congress chief will address election rallies for the party at various places, including Phagwara and Jandiala, during her campaign trail on February 8 and 10, he added.
