CEC meets again to select candidates for Uttarakhand

New Delhi, Jan 25 (UNI) The Congress Election Committee(CEC), headed by Congress President Sonia Gandhi, met here for the second day today to finalise the names of the candidates for the Assembly elections in Uttarakhand to be held next month.

The CEC had an inconclusive meeting here last night to select the candidates for the 70 assembly seats in Uttarakhand, but could not take the final decision due to lack of unanimity on some seats.

The meeting which resumed tonight at 10 Janpath, official residence of Ms Gandhi was likely to decide the candidates for most of the seats, according to AICC Incharge of Uttarakhand Moti Lal Vora. UNI
