Manipur CM, Speaker file nomination papers

Imphal, Jan 17 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh today filed nomination papers from Khangabok and Thoubal Assembly constituencies.

The Chief Minister will contest from both the constituencies.

Large numbers of party workers accompanied him. Speaker Dr Maniruddin Sheikh filed his papers for Lilong.

Others who filed nominations papers today were Mr Deven of CPI for Wabagai and Mr N Tonatonsana (Independent) for Heirok. All the nomination papers were for Thoubal district.

Mr L Krishna of Manipur People's Party filed his nomination for Wangjing Tentha, while Mr Ashok Kumar of MPP and Mr E Biramani of CPI did it for Hiyanglam constituency.

Mr W Zoram and Mr Soso Lorho, both Independents, filed for Mao Assembly constituency and Jonathan (Independent) filed for Karong AC in Senapati district.

26/11 chargesheet to be filed today

Mumbai, Feb 25 (ANI): The Mumbai Police is all set to file an approximately 5,000-page chargesheet into the 26/11 terror attacks on Wednesday."The nearly 5000-page chargesheet is ready and will be filed before a Metropolitan Magistrate," special public prosecutor Ujwal Nikam said without revealing any further details.
