Spanish police find explosives in Basque village

MADRID, Jan 4 (Reuters) Spanish police said they found 100 kg of explosives in a Basque Country village today and said they appeared to have been stored there by ETA guerrillas.

The explosives were stored in a container in the village of Atxondo, the Basque Country police force said in a news release, adding that it was ready for immediate use and only lacked a detonator.

The find came after the government broke off peace talks with ETA on Saturday after a car bomb wrecked a multi-storey carpark at Madrid's airport and killed up to two men.

Spanish radio had earlier reported that 90 kg of explosives had been found in a car in the nearby town of Durango.

London, Dec 8 (ANI): A collection of letters and manuscripts that illuminate the life and work of celebrated writer Oscar Wilde, apparently lost for more than 50 years, have been found by academics.The volume contains 50 handwritten pages, including Wilde's earliest surviving letter to his lover Lord Alfred Douglas, whom he called Bosie, which documents the start of his doomed gay relationship with the Magdalen College undergraduate in the early 1890s, reports the Independent.Douglas destroyed most of the letters.....
