Rural Bank staff strike on Jan 5

Bhopal, Jan 4 (UNI) About 70,000 officers and employees of Regional Rural Banks across the country will observe strike tomorrow to press the demand for pension and allowances at par with promotee banks.

The strike, affecting 14,000 branches of Regional Rural Banks, was in response to the call given by Joint Forum of Rural Bank Unions.

Madhya Pradesh State Rural Bank Officers Federation General Secretary K K Gaur today said two day strike would be observed again in April if their demands were not conceded till then.
