Oracle University announces certification prog

Bangalore, Jan 4: Oracle University today announced the availability of Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Applications certification programme.

Based on version 11i of Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle varsity E-Business Suite curriculum, the Applications certification required the successful completion of a series of rigorous online and proctor examinations, Oracle said in a release here.

The programme enabled Applications professionals to pursue Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Financials Certified Professional Consultant, Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Supply Chain Certified Professional Consultant and Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Applications Technology Certified Professional Administrator courses.

Each path validated and recognised specific areas of competency within Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Applications usage and concepts.

Additional applications certification paths were in development and would be implemented by the University in the near future, the release said.

Additionally, certification programmess were also being made available for professionals aspiring to get certified on other Oracle Applications.

As a lead up to the launch of the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i Applications certification programme in India in March 2007, Oracle University in India was currently running beta programs with over 100 IT consultants from leading global system integrator organisations such as Infosys Technologies and Wipro Technologies.

The knowledge of Oracle Certified Professionals help keep project implementations on schedule and within the budget, leading to a quicker return on investment for customers, the release said.
