Maj Gen Jaswal given warm send-off

Jammu, Jan 4 (UNI) Major General B S Jaswal was today given a warm send-off by the officers and jawans on his relinquishing the post of Chief of Staff of Nagrota-based largest 'White Knight' XVI corps in Jammu and Kashmir.

Maj Gen Jaswal has been promoted as Director General of Infantry at Army Headquarters, New Delhi.

A luminary of the elite Jammu and Kashmir Rifles (JAK RIF), Gen Jaswal had been decorated with the ATI Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) and Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM) for distinguished services while in command.

Before taking over as the Chief of Staff, he was General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Crossed Swords division.
