Madhukarrao Chaudhary to join Congress tomorrow

Mumbai, Jan 4 (UNI) Former Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Madhukarrao Chaudhary is scheduled to join the Congress tomorrow.

Mr Chaudhary, a former Congressman, had broken away from the party to join Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in 1999 when the former had launched the party on the issue of Sonia Gandhi's foreign origin.

Mr Chaudhary will be formally inducted into the party tomorrow by Maharashtra Pradesh Ccongress Committe president Prabha Rau. All India Congress Committee spokesman Abhishek Singhvi will also be present, party sources said.

New Delhi, Aug 4: The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the third time today and finally for the day, till Monday, after a showdown involving slogan shouting by Opposition and Ruling party members on the leak of the Justice Pathak Committee report on the oil-for-food scam to the media.As soon as the House re-assembled for the third time at 1530 Hours, BJP parliamentary party's deputy leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra stood up to make a point of order on the leak.....
