CM expresses shock over loss of human lives

Jammu, Jan 4 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has expressed profound shock and grief over the loss of precious human lives in the bus accident near Doda today which claimed 13 lives.

Mr Azad conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls. He directed the state health authorities to provide best possible treatment to the injured.

Meanwhile, on being informed the tragic bus accident, State Minister for Health and Medical Education, Mangat Ram Sharma accompanied by MLA Inderwal, G M Saroori and officials flew to the spot to take stock of the situation and supervise the arrangements for evacuating the dead bodies and shifting the injured to various hospitals.

Former Power Minister Mohammad Sharief Niaz also expressed Srief over the loss of lives and said the government would provide every possible help to the victims and their families and specialised treatment to the injured.

No consular access to indians in Pak jail: Pranab

New Delhi, Mar 14:  The government today informed the Lok Sabha that at least 92 Indian civilian prisoners in Pakistani jails have yet not been given consular access."Besides 390 fishermen and 149 civilian prisoners and 74 PoWs are still languishing in Pakistani jails," External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said in a written reply.The minister was asked whether the government had any reports of inhuman treatment meted out to Indian prisoners in Paksitan.The minsiter said Indian prisoners released by Pakistan had reported.....
