CBI files charge sheet against insurance official

Kochi, Jan 4 (UNI) The CBI today filed a charge sheet against an insurance company official for misappropriation of funds.

According to an offcial release here, the investigating agency filed the charge sheet against senior assistant of the United India Insurance Company Sivasundaram for allegedly misappropriating funds to the tune of Rs 17 lakh.

The official was also alleged to have illegally routed the commission of policies registered directly to the company by modifying the agency codes, the release added.

Melbourne, Jan.25 (ANI): Victorian MP and former minister Theo Theophanous has filed a 10 million dollar criminal damages claim against the woman accusing him of rape.According to the Sunday Herald Sun, Theophanous's lawyers filed the claim in the Kalamata District Court, in southern Greece, last week.Documents show the 45-year-old woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was served a summons at her Kalamata residence.She has been ordered to face court on October 15 or meet.....

China rejects US's currency manipulating charge
