Talking to newsmen at his residence here, he said, ''It seems the efforts of the Education department are a fall-out of the decision taken at the BJP National Executive, held at Lucknow, to fall back on the Hindutva plank to revive the fortunes of the party.'' He said the BJP was a party with feudalistic mindset which had always tried to divide the people on religious and caste lines. He said the party had failed to provide the basic amenities to the people in its three-year rule in the state and had now decided to fall back on its Hindutva plank to come out with a new scheme to divide the people.
It may be recalled that the state Education Minister Ghanshyam Tiwari had recently announced a new project to compile the history of 41,000 villages in the state under the name ''Apni Dharti, Apne Log'' scheme.
Mr Gehlot also alleged that the urea shortage in the state was the result of the inefficiency of the Vasundhara Raje government.
