The violators will be identified and caught in the city and will be presented rose during the Road Safety fortnight beginning today.
Indore Zone Inspector General of Police Rajendra Kumar said the gesture was to send across the message with an appeal to people obey the traffic rules. After presenting rose to such people, they will also be quizzed about what they had got in breaking the traffic rules and the talk would be broadcast by the local FM radio station.
Besides, several other programmes would be held during the fortnight to make awareness among the school children, public transport drivers and other people about safe driving. Lakhs of people, mostly young, die on the roads due to increasing accidents in the country every year.
