Yashraj Containeurs bags Rs 20 cr Indian Oil order

New Delhi, Dec 26 (UNI) Yashraj Containeurs Ltd today said it has secured an order worth Rs 20 crore from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd for supply of metal barrels.

The order will be consumed largely by the company's Asaoti installation, followed by Silvassa Installation, it said in a statement.

The company has also achieved a moderate order from Indian Petrochemical Corporation Ltd, it said.

With these additions, the company's book order position touched Rs 110 crore from the earlier Rs 90 crore.

The orders will will be executed within 18 months.

Guntur (Andhra Pradesh), Dec 26: Thieves robbed the Chaitanya Grameena bank, a subsidiary of the public sector Andhra bank at Narasaraopet town, 60 km from here, and made off with pledged gold jewellery valued nearly Rs five crore from the steel chest, bank sources said today. Taking advantage of the two-day bank holiday on Sunday and Monday (Christmas), the jewel thieves opened the bank doors with duplicate keys, cut the steel chest with a gas.....

One naxalite killed in police encounter

Chikmagalur, Karnataka, Dec 26 (UNI) A naxalite leader was killed in Kigga forest near the temple town of Sringeri in Chikmagalur district last night in an encounter between police and naxalites.
