Vice-President to visit temple town

Tirupati, Dec 26 (UNI) Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat will pay a two-day visit to Tirupati and Tirumala on December 31.

Official sources said here today the Vice-President would arrive at Renigunta Airport from Chennai at 1635 hrs on December 31 and motor up to Tirumala. He would offer worship at Lord Venkateswara temple that evening and stay overnight in Padmavathi Guest House at the hilltop.

Next day, on the New Year, Mr Shekhawat would participate in the morning rituals in the temple and then come down to Tirupati.

He would then pray at Goddess Padmavathi temple at Tiruchanoor, near here and leave for New Delhi by air at 1230 hrs from Renigunta airport, the sources added.
