Syndicate Bank brings 101 branches into CBS network

Bangalore, Dec 26 (UNI) Public sector Syndicate Bank has set a new record by bringing 101 branches, including over 45 in rural and semi-urban centres, into its Core Banking Solution (CBS) in a single day today.

With this, the bank had a network of 1,167 branches under CBS, spread across 570 centres, supplemented by 530 ATMs across the country, bank Chairman and Managing Director C P Swarnkar said in a release here.

During the current financial year, the bank had added 638 branches into CBS fold and the total number of CBS branches was set to reach 1,500 by March next year, he added.

Syndicate Bank was one of the first public sector banks to implement CBS in 2001, with over 83 per cent of the bank's business now covered under CBS.
