Special Assembly session from tomorrow

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 26 (UNI) The Kerala Agricultural Debt Relief Commission Bill will be discussed at the three-day special session of Kerala Assembly beginning here tomorrow.

The Bill, which is now before the Select Committee of the House, would be presented in the House tomorrow. The committee had already conducted public hearings on the legislation.

The Bill proposes formation of a judicial commission with powers to consider remission of debts taken for agriculture purposes. The legislation is intended to help farmers who are in penury on account of fall in prices of crops and failure of crops.

The Road Safety Authority Bill and the Kerala Fishermen and Allied Workers Welfare Fund Cess Bill would also be presented in the House tomorrow.

78 tribal Christians reconvert to Hinduism

Rourkela, Dec 26 (UNI) At least 78 tribal Christians were reconverted to Hinduism at a ceremony organised by the Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Chikitia village under Nuagaon block of Sundergarh district. AEZ policy provisions to be changed to boost agri exports: Nath

New Delhi, Dec 26 (UNI) Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath today said plans were afoot to effect changes in the Agri-Economic Zone (AEZ) policy provisions to boost agricultural exports from the country.
