Special Assembly session for Debt Relief legislation

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 26 (UNI) The Kerala Agricultural Debt Relief Commission Bill will be taken up at the three-day special Assembly session beginning here tomorrow.

The Bill, which is now before the Select Committee of the House, would be presented in the house tomorrow. The committee had already conducted public hearings on the legislation.

The Bill proposes formation of a judicial commission with powers to consider remission of debts taken for agriculture purposes. The legislation is intended to help farmers who are in penury on account of fall in prices of agriculture crops and crop failures.

The Road Safety Authority Bill and the Kerala Fishermen and Allied Workers Welfare Fund Cess Bill would also be presented in the house tomorrow.

Karnataka on course in helping disabled persons:Kumaraswamy
