Snow likely in Northern states

Pune, Dec 26 (UNI) Rain or snow are likely to occur at a few places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Orissa and Jharkhand. They were below normal in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and Kerala.

The temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in west Rajasthan, Gujarat and in some parts of Uttarnachal, Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Marathwada. They were above normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, north Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and coastal Karnataka.

They were normal over the rest of the country.

Very light rain had occurred at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Rajasthan.

Dry weather prevailed over Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan.
