Pentium Infotech's board to meet on Jan 19

Mumbai, Dec 26 (UNI) Pentium Infotech Ltd has informed Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that its Board of Directors will meet on January 19 to consider the matter for issue of one crore equity shares (face value of Rs 1.00 per share) on preferential basis as per Securities and Exchange Board of India's (SEBI) guidelines at price not less than Rs 3.10 per share.

The company has recently announced its foray into infrastructure and construction business. The amount realised from preferential allotment of shares would be used for acquiring land in Gujarat.

The company has recently tied up with M/s Rajvi Construction for developing shopping malls, residential complex and commercial complex in Gujarat. M/s Rajvi Construction is a leading player in Realty Sector for last 8 Yrs.

The company's Board of Directors had already approved investment limit of Rs 80 millions for the project.

BSNL proposes OF cable via Anantnag-Santhantop-Kishtwar

Srinagar, Dec 26 (UNI) In view of frequent disturbance of its services due to landslides on the 300-km Srinagar-Jammu national highway following heavy rains and snow, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has proposed to have a standby optical fibre cable diversity via Anantnag-Kokernag-Santhantop-Kishtwar up to Udhampur. Queen becomes defender of all faiths

London, Dec 26: The Queen, who is the head of the Church of England and ''Defender of the Faith'' became a defender of all faiths when she called on all faiths to work together to bridge the gap between the young and old people during her Christmas broadcast. Breaking from tradition, her broadcast also featured footage of Muslims praying in a mosque for the first time. Images were shown of men praying in the main hall of the London Central.....

K'taka Govt asked to develop historic Nagar Hobli

Bangalore, Dec 26 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party leader 'Mukhyamantri' Chandru, MLC, has urged the Karnataka Government to take immediate measures to develop Nagar Hobli, the capital city of the erstwhile princely State of Bidanur in Hosanagar taluk of Shimoga district. In a letter to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, he said Nagar Hobli, now in a dilapidated condition, provided glimpses of the past glory of the Bidanur dynasty, which ruled the southern part of Karnataka.....
