High power Rly Delegation inspects the newly laid bg tracks

Tiruchirapalli, Dec 26 (UNI) A high-level railway delegation, led by P K Sen, Commissioner of Railway Safety, Southern Railway today inspected the newly laid broad gauge tracks between Tiruchirapalli and Keeranur section of the Tiruchirapalli-Pudukottai section for final clearance.

A senior official of the S R told UNI here, Mr Sen, accompanied by Hemanth Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager, Madurai Division and othr technical experts travelled in the trolley on the newly laid tracks.

The team would inspect the remaining part of the section from Keeranur to Pudukottai tomorrow. After this a light engine would be run on the 53 KM strech.

Passenger train services will be run from January five as per scheduled, he said.

New Delhi, Dec 26 (UNI) The Delhi Government is drawing up an action plan to decongest traffic at Pusa Road chowk and at New Rohtak Road which envisages building of an underpass and a flyover between Liberty Cinema Chowk and Anand Parbat to enable smooth flow of traffic between North and Central Delhi. New Delhi, Dec 26 (UNI) The National Human Rights Commission has directed the Defence Ministry and the Jammu and Kashmir Government to inform it about the compensation given to victims of human rights violations by the armed forces in the strife-torn state.
