Haj-bound flight lands in Nagpur after lady passenger collapses

Nagpur, Dec 26 (UNI) A Dhaka-Jeddah Haj chartered flight of Saudi Arabia Airlines had to be diverted to Nagpur this morning when a 58-year-old lady passenger collapsed on board after complaining of uneasiness.

The aircraft continued on its journey with the lady aboard after a doctor treated her at the airport itself.

Official sources said the aircraft left Dhaka today about 12 hours behind schedule. Soon after it was airborne, the woman, whose name was given as Noorunnisa, complained of uneasiness and collapsed.

The flight was diverted to Nagpur and a doctor called from a private hospital in the city to treat her, sources said.

Dr Neeraj Prasad, who treated her, said the woman collapsed because she had gone without food for a long time and had low oxygen level in the blood.

AEZ policy provisions to be changed to boost agri exports: Nath

New Delhi, Dec 26 (UNI) Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath today said plans were afoot to effect changes in the Agri-Economic Zone (AEZ) policy provisions to boost agricultural exports from the country. Simplex bags Rs 825 cr orders

New Delhi, Dec 26 (UNI) Simplex Infrastructures Ltd today said it bagged various orders aggregating Rs 825 crore. The company's overseas order intake accounts for over 50 per cent of the amount, an official statement said. In November, Simplex secured a Rs 212.11 crore contract from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd for part design and construction of viaduct and structural work of three elevated stations.
