Genus Overseas bags order from Raj elec board

New Delhi, Dec 26: Genus Overseas Electronics Ltd, engaged in the production of multifunction electronic energy meters, today said it has secured a Rs 75 crore order from Rajasthan State Electricity Board.

The contract involves supply of single phase and three phase electronic energy meters.

The company has worth Rs 510 crores in-hand orders as on date.

In October, the company's members authorised its board to borrow Rs 400 crore through issue of securities in domestic or overseas markets.

'Study for setting up a greenfield airport in Kolkata'

Kolkata, Dec 26: West Bengal government has urged the Civil Aviation Ministry to set up a greenfield airport in Kolkata to handle increasing traffic. Informing this, West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee here today said that the Consulting Engineering Services (CES) is doing the feasibility study of a second airport near Kolkata and is likely to submit its report soon.
