Fire destroys documents in SMC ward office

Surat, Dec 26 (UNI) A fire today broke out in a ward office of the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) at Adajan Patiya area here, gutting official documents and office furniture.

Fire brigade sources said the fire broke out due to a short-circuit at around 1100 hrs. However, no casualties were reported.

The firemen subsequently doused the fire, sources added.

MCD announces new policy for regularising buildings

New Delhi, Dec 26 (UNI) The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has delineated a new policy for regularisation of building plans following the September 22 notification of revised building bye-laws by the Union Urban Development Ministry.
