New Delhi, Dec 26: Gurgaon-based C&C Constructions Ltd, in a joint bid with B Seenaiah and Company (Projects) Ltd, has bagged the build-operate-transfer (BOT) project of around Rs 380 crores.

The company bagged the BOT project of Kurali Kiratpur Section of National Highway 21 under the National Highway Development Programme, Phase IIA, in Punjab.

The project involves designing, engineering, operation and management of the four-laning of about 44 km road stretch.

The project is likely to have a concession period of 20 years, including a construction period of two and half years.

The company provides engineering, procurement and construction services for infrastructure projects in India and Afghanistan.

It has been involved in various transportation engineering projects including that of roads, bridges, flyovers and airport runways.

The company's clients include the NHAI, Airport Authority of India, Public Works Department (PWD) of various State Governments, Punjab Infrastructure Development Board, PWD Afghanistan, RITES Ltd etc.

Three tribal children burnt alive

Baripada, Dec 26 (UNI) Three tribal children were burnt alive in a fire in Jhumkapal village under Raruan block of Mayurbhanj district. Police today said the children were playing near a heap of haystacks when the accident took place yesterday. The victims were identified as Lipu(4) Anand(4) and Abhi (3) official sources said.
