Cable theft cases affecting BSNL services : Shakeel

Darbhanga, Dec 26 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Information Technology Shakeel Ahmad today alleged that the state government had failed to check the cable theft cases resulting in deficiency in services provided by BSNL.

After inaugurating a school building here, Ahmad said recent spurt in cable theft cases was an attempt of vested interests to defame BSNL.

Despite requests on several occasions, the state government did not take effective steps to detect the networks behind the theft cases, he added.

'' Altogether 203 cable theft cases had been lodged in different police stations of the state during the last one month, '' he informed.

'' I have also talked to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the issue, '' he added.
