Bijapur records lowest min temp of 11.5

Bangalore, Dec 26 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office here today at 0830 hours.

Dry weather prevailed over the State.

Minimum temperatures were rose at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were below normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka, however above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Bijapur recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11.5 deg.

Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Dry weather may prevail over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Dry weather may prevail over all the districts of the State.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Fog/mist likely during early morning hours.

Minimum temperature would be around 15 deg. Celsius.

Three-member family commit suicide

Malappuram, Kerala, Dec 26 (UNI) Three members of a family were found dead at their residence in Karumthxal near Pookkiparamba in the district early today. Police said the deceased were identified as Saidalivi (32), his wife Rehaneth(28) and son Mohammed Afnas (4). Preliminary investigation had indicated that they took the extreme step by allegedly consuming poison last night. Foul play, however, was ruled out. Imphal, Dec 26 (UNI) A powerful bomb was found near the office of the Deputy commissioner Imphal West last evening. Police said the bomb was found by a passersby. Howrah, Dec 26 (UNI) Trinamool Youth Congress today stopped a Sealdah-bound down Rajdhani Express in Ramchandrapur station under Eastern Railway to protest against the land acquisition for Tata Motors small car project in Singur.
