6 arrested for travelling on fake visas

Dubai, Dec 26 (UNI) Six Indians, who arrived at the Sharjah International Airport on fake visas and travel documents a couple of days ago, have been detained by the immigration authorities.

The Indian consulate said the men would be deported immediately.

The fake visas were detected by immigration officials, who immediately seized their passports. The men, who arrived on an Indian Airlines flight from Kozikode and Kannur in Kerala, hold return tickets.

An airport immigration official told Gulf News the travel documents were not genuine and the men were not allowed to leave the airport.

Pre-marital HIV test for expats soon

Dubai, Dec 26 (UNI) Expatriates living in the UAE may soon have to undergo compulsory pre-nuptial medical tests before getting married. A top health official at the Ministry of Health (MoH) said in Abu Dhabi that the ministry has prepared a draft bill to make it compulsory for both nationals and expatriates to go through pre-nuptial tests.
