Twenty injured in road accident

Ratlam, MP, Dec 25 (UNI) Twenty people were injured, six of them seriously, when a brick-laden tractor trolley overturned near Mandali ghat in this district, police said today.

The tractor trolley was heading to market on December 23 when the incident occurred.

On receiving information, police reached the spot. The injured were admitted to Rawti healthcare centre from where six seriously injured were sent to Ratlam.

Other injured were discharged after primary treatment.

Srinagar, Dec 25 (UNI) Several people were wounded in separate road accidents across the Kashmir valley today, police said. Two vehicles collided head on near here in which five people, including a family of four members, were wounded. Anti-reservationists lathicharged in BHU, 8 wounded

Varanasi, Dec 25 (UNI) At least eight students protesting 27 per cent OBC reservation in higher education were injured, three of them seriously, when they were allegedly lathicharged by Benaras Hindu University (BHU) security personnel on the central university campus here this evening. Shajapur, MP, Dec 25 (UNI) A Christian priest was killed and five people were injured when a jeep collided with a truck at Indore Kota Highway, 94 km from the district headquarters, police said today. Agar Pushpa Convent School's Father Bainee Adipuram (48), Sister Rosemary, Sister Sizo Jontey, Wilson, Franchiz Kamban and Awad Wilson were going to celebrate Christmas at Ujjain diocese when the incident occurred. Militants kill civilian in Doda

Jammu, Dec 25 (UNI) Six unidentified militants today kidnapped a local civilian and later shot him dead in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said tonight. Sources said militants kidnapped a civilian Mohan Lal Bhandari (40) from Malhar bridge Doda district this afternoon and later killed him. The body of the victim was recovered from a forest.
