Three killed, 11 injured in accident

Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, Dec 25 (UNI) Three people, including two women were killed and eleven seriously injured when their car overturned at Gandhinagar near Acharapakkam in the district today.

Police said the accident occurred when they were on way to a temple in Tirvannamalai to offer their worship.

The injured, including the driver, were admitted to Madurantagam and Chengalpattu Government Hospitals.

Gomathy (32) and Sivaraman (12) succumbed to their injuries at Madurantagam Hospital, while Sushila (26) died at the Chengalpattu Government Hospital.

A case has been registered and an investigation was underway, the police added.

Chennai, Dec 25 (UNI) Two people drowned in Puzhal lake at suburb Ambattur here today whil they were having bath. Police said, a 12-year-old boy Dineshraj of Krishnagiri, who came here as a guest, went to take bath in the lake, accidentally went to the deep water and got drowned.
