Satyam posts 70% revenue growth in West Asia

Dubai, Dec 25 (UNI) IT major Satyam Computer Services has reported a 70 per cent year-on-year revenue growth in West Asia, Company's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Rama Raju said.

Mr Raju added that ''Satyam is setting up its first global development centre in the region, a 300-seat facility in Egypt, which will be a major technological and software development resource to better serve West Asia customers and improve local standards of IT fluency.'' Satyam serves more than 160 customers across a variety of industry verticals in West Asia.

Since entering the region nearly 10 years ago, Satyam has completed over 150 full-life-cycle projects, a company statement said.

About 250 Satyam consultants now work in the region including bilingual project teams.

It recently organised a leadership roundtable on globalisation through localisation attended by its regional customers that included representatives of KOTC (Kuwait), Nissan (Dubai), BMMI (Bahrain) and Al Mana (Qatar).

From its Dubai base, Satyam has expanded its regional operations through satellite offices in Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
