Party is intact:Vaiko, says ties with AIADMK will be stronger

Chennai, Dec 25 (UNI) MDMK General Secreatary Vaiko today reiterated that his party was intact and there was no setback following the expulsion from party posts of its MPs L Ganesan and Gingee Ramachandran.

Talking to newspersons soon after the conclusion of the meeting of the party's district secretaries, high level committe, political advisory committee and Parliamentary Board, Mr Vaiko referring to the crisis created by the two senior partymen quipped '' sweet are the juices of adversity.'' He said the party's relationship and the tie up with the AIADMK will be stronger and the alliance between the two parties would continue.

Constitute all party committee to discuss land issue: BJP

Hyderabad, Dec 25 (UNI) BJP's Andhra Pradesh President Bandaru Dattatreya today demanded that the state government constitute an all party committee to review and discuss the issue on assigned lands in the state. In a statement here, he said the government should find out the registration details of the assigned lands, which were registered under 'benami' names. He charged the government with adopting AP Assigned Lands (Prohibition of Transfers) Bill without consulting the Opposition parties.....

Rebel MDMK leaders did not attend meeting to avoid violence

Chennai, Dec 25 (UNI) Marumalarchi DMK rebel leader Ginjee Ramachandran said L Ganesan and himself had not attended today's meeting convened by Mr Vaiko, as they did not want to give room for violence. TMMK urges creation of Equal Opportunity Commission
