Pune, Dec 25 (UNI) Long-distance runners from Pune district dominated the races and claimed the overall teams title in each section of the state cross-country championship.
The championship assumes importance as it would form the basis for selection of Maharashtra teams to take part in the national cross- country championship, to be held at Visakhapatnam on February 4.
The prizes were given by Nagpur MLA Sunil Kedar, MAAA President Adile Sumariwala and MAAA Secretary General Pralhad Sawant.
Sawant said the coaching-cum- training camp of the selected athletes will be held at Nagpur till their departure for Visakhapatnam.
