Honey bees attack four TRS MLAs

Sanga Reddy, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 25 (UNI) Four Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLAs and a press team were stung by honey bees on a road between two villages in Medak district today.

TRS sources told UNI that a team of TRS leaders and some newspesons were in the district to conduct a road survey for the 'Maha Raasta Roko' programme to be organised on the Rajiv national highway on December 29 to press the demand for nine-hour power supply for farmers.

Honey bees suddenly attacked the TRS leaders between Gauraram and Prjanapur villages. The TRS MLAs Harish Rao, Ms Padmadevendar Reddy, Ramalinga Reddy and Vijayarama Rao had to take to their heels to escape the swarm.

Mediapersons, who were with them, were also injured in the attack.

The injured TRS MLAs were admitted to a nearby hospital where they were administered tetanus injection and biotic medicine. Later they were discharged and went back to resume the survey.

TN Govt taking up rehabilitation work: District Collector

Cuddalore, Dec 25 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Government has taken up tsunami rehabilitation works at a cost of Rs 15777.70 lakh in the district. Three killed, 11 injured in accident

Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, Dec 25 (UNI) Three people, including two women were killed and eleven seriously injured when their car overturned at Gandhinagar near Acharapakkam in the district today. Police said the accident occurred when they were on way to a temple in Tirvannamalai to offer their worship. The injured, including the driver, were admitted to Madurantagam and Chengalpattu Government Hospitals.
