Five killed and seven injured in accident

Malappuram, Dec 25 (UNI) Five teenagers were killed and seven injured when the jeep in which they were travelling collided with a bus at Kottappuram in the district today.

Police said the jeep coming to Ayikarappady from Mongam dashed against the bus coming from Kozhikode killing them on-the-spot.

The deceased were identified as Naseem, Mohammed Shameer and Rahim (all aged 18), Shuhaib(15) and Shafeeq(13).

The injured have been admitted to the Medical College Hospital in Kozhikode.

Patna, Dec 24 (UNI) Unidentified criminals shot dead one person under Sachiwalaya police station area here today. Police said some armed criminals fired shots at the deceased, who died on the spot.
