Christmas celebrated in Manipur

Imphal, Dec 25 (UNI) Christmas is beiong celebrated throughout Manipur with gaiety and happiness.

Stars bedecked with lights were seen almost everywhere and Christmas carols could be heard throughout the day.

Manipur Governor Dr SS Sidhu said 'principles upheld by Lord Jesus may guide mankind to build a more compassionate society and a more peaceful world'.

Chief Minister O Ibobi said, '' every person who believes in God irrespective of caste, creed and religion should be a messenger of peace, goodwill and love''.

Various Christian denominations greeted each other. The GOC 57 Mountain Division Maj Gen EJ Kochekkan prayed that this festival may herald peace in Manipur ending any form of strife.

The IG AR (S) Maj Gen BK Chengapa said ''may this festival foster a sprit of tolerance and brotherhood amongst the people and usher an era of peace, harmony and prosperity in the Region''.

Kashmiri Pandits reject Mush's formula on Kashmir

New Delhi, Dec 26: Kashmiri Pandits today rejected Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's four-point formula on Kashmir and said the latest indications emanating from the ongoing Indo-Pak Composite Dialogue process were confusing.A Resolution adopted after a day-long conference, organised by the Kashmiri Samiti, the apex body of Kashmiri Pandits, said it was not very clear what prompted Gen Musharraf to come out with this ''out of box'' formula but it was clear that the government of India was willing to discuss.....

JP Group to carry out Taj Expressway project

Agra, Dec 25 (UNI) The Rs 1,200 crore Taj Express Way -- an ambitious project for connecting Greater Noida and Agra with state-of-the-art highway, would be completed in four to six years.
