Chamarajnagara records lowest temperature 11.3 degree celsius

Bangalore, Dec 25 (UNI) The Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hrs today.

Dry weather prevailed over the State. Minimum temperatures appreciably below normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were below normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka; however above normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and normal over North Interior Karnataka.

Chamarajnagara recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11.3 degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Dry weather may prevail over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Dry weather may prevail over all the districts of the State.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Minimum temperature would be around 15 degree Celsius.

Five killed and seven injured in accident

Malappuram, Dec 25 (UNI) Five teenagers were killed and seven injured when the jeep in which they were travelling collided with a bus at Kottappuram in the district today. Police said the jeep coming to Ayikarappady from Mongam dashed against the bus coming from Kozhikode killing them on-the-spot. The deceased were identified as Naseem, Mohammed Shameer and Rahim (all aged 18), Shuhaib(15) and Shafeeq(13). The injured have been admitted to the Medical College Hospital in Kozhikode......

J'khand govt concerned over theft of BARC analayser

Hazaribagh, Dec 24 (UNI) Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand Sudhir Mahto today said the state government was concerned over the theft of analayser from the Central Coalfields Limited. Talking to repoters here, Mr Mahto said every step was being taken to find out the equipment containing uranium, brought from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC).
