YSR lays foundation stone for 'Eco Park'

Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, Dec 24 (UNI) Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today laid foundation stone for ''Eco Park' being established at a cost of Rs eight crore in Idupulapaya Village.

The park would have botanical gardens and bird sanctuary.

Later, the Chief Minister inagurated Haritha Resorts constructed by the State Tourism Department at Gandi Kshetram and offered worship to Hanuman at a temple.

Dr Reddy arrived to his home district to celebrate Christmas along with his family members at his farm house at Idupulapaya.

He also participated in several official programmes in the district.

MLA injured in road accident in AP

Hyderabad, Dec 24 (UNI) The Congress MLA and his car driver were injured when a car in which they were travelling hit another car parked on the outskirts of the city today. Anti-reservationists lathicharged in BHU, 8 hurt

Varanasi, Dec 26: At least eight students protesting 27 per cent OBC reservation in higher education were injured, three of them seriously, when they were allegedly lathicharged by Benaras Hindu University (BHU) security personnel on the central university campus here this evening.
