Congress to celebrate 112th establishment day in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Dec 24 (UNI) The Congress would organise a two-day celebration from December 27 in Jharkhand to mark the 112th establishment day of the party.

Media in charge of the event Alok Dubey told reporters here that preparations were in the last leg. Cultural events would be organised on December 27 and 'prabhat pheri' and flag hoisting the next day.

Mr Dubey said special focus would be given over achievements like Right to Information Act, Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Scheme and National Rural Employment Guarantee Act by the Congress led UPA government at the Centre.

He said directions had been issued to all district units regarding the function.

Senior leader and in charge of party affairs in Jharkhand Noor Banu and others would participate in the function.

J'khand govt conerned over theft of BARC analayser

Hazaribagh, Dec 24 (UNI) Deputy Chief Minister of Jharkhand Sudhir Mahto today said the state government was concerned over the theft of analayser from the Central Coalfields Limited. Talking to repoters here, Mr Mahto said every step was being taken to find out the equipment containing uranium, brought from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC). AIZAWL, Dec 24 (UNI) Mizoram Speaker Lalchamliana referred cases of 14 legislators, allegedly availing free travel allowance without undertaking tours, to the Ethics Committee of the legislature. Seng Khasi expresses concern over Rymbai's remarks

Shillong, Dec 24 (UNI) The Seng Khasi in Meghalaya has expressed deep concern over the statement of Chief Minister J.D.Rymbai that development scheme should be implemented by Christian missionaries in the state. Perturbed by Mr Rymbai's remarks, the Seng Khasi, an organisation promoting the indigenous faith, urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to restrain the Chief Minister from making such ''indiscreet, emotional and sectarian'' statements.
