Chidambaram injures his toe in Bangalore

New Delhi, Dec 24 (UNI) Finance Minister P Chidambaram has incurred an injury on his right foot while returning from a restaurant in Bangalore last night.

Mr Chidambaram was on a private visit with his family to the IT city, an official spokesman said here today.

The Finance Minister fractured his right toe as he slipped from the stairs while returning from the restaurant in the city.

The spokesman also referred to a minor altercation the Finance Minister had with the city newspaper photographer who insisted on taking his picture. Mr Chidambaram was reluctant to oblige the photographer as he was strictly on a private visit.

However, the photographer and the resident editor of the newspaper have offered an apology to Mr Chidambaram.
