AP Governor extends greetings on Christmas eve

Hyderabad, Dec 24 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh State Governor Rameshwar Thakur today extended heartiest greetings to Christian breathern and to all the people of the state on the eye of Christmas.

In a statement Mr Thakur said 'Jesus Christ was a prophet of love and compassion. His message is as relevant today as it has been always. The values cherished by Jesus and propagated by Christinity have an universal appeal and significance. Let us pledge today as we celebrate Chritmas to work for peace, harmony and good-will'.

He hoped that this year's celebrations of the birthday of Jesus would help all faiths to come closure and strengthen the bonds of amity, good-will, love and friendship among all the sections of the society.

MLA injured in road accident in AP

Hyderabad, Dec 24 (UNI) The Congress MLA and his car driver were injured when a car in which they were travelling hit another car parked on the outskirts of the city today. Police said Ongole MLA B Srinivasa Reddy was proceeding to Ongole on his car when the mishap occurred. Mr Reddy received minor injuries and his driver of the car received head bruises.
