Patna, Dec 24 (UNI) Unidentified criminals shot dead one person under Sachiwalaya police station area here today.

Police said some armed criminals fired shots at the deceased, who died on the spot.

The reason behind the incident was yet to be ascertained.

Raids were on to nab the culprits.

Jaunpur, Dec 24 (UNI) A prisoner died under mysterious circumstances in Jaunpur district jail late last night, police today said. The incident occurred under Meerganj police station area, where Jang Bahadur Saroj (25), who was arrested in September last in connection with the murder of one Subhash Saroj, was suddenly taken ill.
