The decision was taken after the meeting of the principals of the seven degree colleges and the district administration.
The Vice Chancellor (VC) of Lucknow University (LU) Dr R P Singh had decided to close the University sine die after student unrest over implementation of the Lyngdoh Committee recommendations and a maratorium on student union polls this session. The colleges also followed the suit and decided to suspend the sTudies.
Distrcit Magistrate of Lucknow Ramendra Tripathi told UNI here this evening that the administration had assured all security for the colleges and they would be re-opened from tomorrow in a phased manner.
Meanwhile, University offices would remain open from tomorrow while the teaching would be resumed after security concerns of the university administration are addressed.
Students of Lucknow had indulged themselves in violent protests after the VC of LU had announced to implement the Lyngdoh Committee recommendations barring students to contest election if they had any disciplinary action against them.
