Youth mesmerises women and decamps with gold bangles

Surat, Nov 7 (UNI) A youth allegedly mesmerised two women at Dikshit Mohollah in Valsad and decamped with gold bangles worth Rs 76,400.

One Ms Swathiben Desai and her aunt Mrs Sarayuben Desai were sitting and talking to each other in front of their house when a young man entered the house and said he wanted to meet Dr Dasarathbhai Desai, the husband of the victim. Ms Sarayuben Desai told the youth that her husband is not in the house, and got into a conversation with him.

During the course of the conversation the women were allegedly gradually mesmerised and relieved of their gold bangles, police said yesterday.

Valsad town police have initiated a probe, police added.

Mercury soars to 33 degrees C in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) Delhi experienced a warm day today with mercury rising to 33 degrees Celsius in the absence of the Easterly winds. The meteorological department said the maximum was three degrees above normal. The minimum was recorded at 15.8 degrees Celsius, again three degrees above normal. Hubli, Nov 7 (UNI) The Karnataka Government today clarified that it has not made yoga education compulsory in primary and secondary schools.
