Unseasonal rains hit parts of Gujarat, 2 killed

Ahmedabad, Nov 7 (UNI) Two persons were killed when lightning strucked them in Hansod village of Ankleshwar after unseasonal rains followed by hailstorm lashed several parts of Gujarat today.

According to official sources, the victims were working in their fields when they were struck by lightning. Unseasonal rains were also reported in Anand district and Ankleshwar town besides Tarapur, Anklav, Khambhat and Borsad.

Agriculture experts in Anand say that crops like chilli, paddy and tobacco waiting to be harvested could be damaged due to these rains.

India to sign labour agreement with Gulf nations

Kumaraswamy discusses terror threat with Patil

New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today discussed the security situation in the state with Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, in view of the intelligence inputs suggesting potential terror threat to vital installations in Bangalore and elsewhere in the state. Chinese Prez to visit India from November 20-23
